Hi, I’m Sugar.

I have three kids, two dogs, a big blended family, and apparently no ability to just do one thing at a time. I can leave the house to run one errand and somehow come back with a restaurant review, a new project, and a story about something weird that happened in the parking lot.

I started posting because I like documenting the regular stuff. The random meals, places we went, things my kids said, projects I probably made harder than they needed to be, all the little things you forget about until you stumble across them years later and go, “Awww, I forgot about that.”

I also have a very strong “I can do it myself!” problem. My dad didn’t have a son, so I got the cars, tools, fixing-things education growing up, and apparently I took that to mean I should attempt basically anything myself before calling someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

Sometimes that works out… The rest of the time, at least I get a story out of it.

And the Sugar thing? That started as Sugarbumps, a nickname my husband came up with while attempting to flirt with me many years ago. He used to stream on Twitch, his chat shortened it to Sugar, and it stuck. Now it’s on a website. So… here we are.
